Overview

GitHub Pets is a browser extension that allows users to customize the pet display on their GitHub contribution calendar grid. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Collection

What We Store

The extension uses the storage permission to save the user's custom pet display locally on their device. This allows the extension to remember the pet(s) they chose so it can automatically apply it when they visit GitHub profile pages. The pet display choice is stored locally using Chrome's sync storage API and is never transmitted to any external servers.

What We Don't Collect

This extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• ❌ Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• ❌ Health information
• ❌ Financial or payment information
• ❌ Authentication credentials or passwords
• ❌ Personal communications
• ❌ Location data (GPS, IP address, etc.)
• ❌ Browsing history
• ❌ User activity tracking (clicks, scrolls, keystrokes, etc.)
• ❌ Website content (text, images, or other page data)
• ❌ Any other personal or sensitive information
